The 4′ x 2′6″ Apex Timber Garden Storage Unit

Combine practicality and compact design with our 4′ x 2′6″ Apex Timber Storage Unit, the perfect low-profile storage solution for any garden, patio, or courtyard setting. Designed specifically for smaller outdoor spaces, this premium unit is ideal for securely storing garden tools, folding chairs, lawnmowers, boots, or outdoor toys without taking up the footprint of a full-sized shed.

Premium Shed-Spec Construction in a Compact Size

Don't let its compact size fool you—this storage unit is built to the exact same heavy-duty specification as our premium, trade-quality shed range:

  • Thicker Shiplap Cladding: Manufactured using high-quality, nominal 19mm cladding featuring an extended rebate. This robust design provides far superior weather protection, water runoff, and structural strength compared to standard lightweight store cupboards.

  • Heavy-Duty Framework & Panels: Built to last, the rugged timber frame ensures the unit remains stable, secure, and completely distortion-free for years to come.

  • Solid Timber Roof & Floor: Just like our full-sized buildings, the roof and floor sections are machined from thick, solid tongue and groove boards, ensuring a strong foundation that won't sag under the weight of heavy tools.

Fully Weather-Protected & Guaranteed

Crafted from premium, slow-grown Scandinavian redwood sourced from sustainable forests, this compact apex store is fully pressure-treated to defend against wood rot, fungal decay, and insect attack. This industrial preservation process guarantees a long, low-maintenance service life, backed by our premier 15-year Treated-Right Warranty.

Note: All timber dimensions listed are nominal sizes, representing the material measurements before it has been machined and profiled to its final section.

Key Benefits of Our Heavy-Duty Timber Sheds

  • Premium Scandinavian Redwood: Crafted from slow-grown, joinery-grade Scandinavian Redwood, our sheds offer a highly attractive, high-quality finish with superior natural density. All timber is responsibly sourced from sustainable, certified forests.
  • Advanced Pressure Treatment: Every shed is fully pressure-treated with Tanalith® E, a market-leading wood preservative that deeply penetrates the timber to protect against the elements.
  • Heavy-Duty Framework: Built with a rugged, nominal 38mmtimes 50mm timber framework, providing maximum structural stability, exceptional wind resistance, and long-term support.
  • Solid Tongue & Groove Floor & Roof: We use thick, nominal 25mm tongue and groove boards for both the roof and the floor. This eliminates sagging and provides a rock-solid foundation for heavy garden machinery, ride-on mowers, and storage.
  • Thicker Shiplap Cladding: Our walls feature premium, nominal 19mm shiplap cladding. This is significantly thicker than standard domestic garden sheds, creating a far more robust, weather-tight, and secure structure.
  • Weatherproof Fixings & Ironmongery: Equipped with premium stainless steel fixings and heavy-duty, hot-dipped galvanised ironmongery that resist rust and perform reliably in all weather conditions.
  • 15-Year Anti-Rot Warranty: Enjoy ultimate peace of mind with our premier 15-year TREATED-RIGHT Performance Warranty* protecting your garden building against wood decay, fungal rot, and insect attack.
  • Enhanced Security & Privacy Options: Looking for added security to protect valuable tools, workshop equipment, or bikes? Every single shed model in our range is available with a no-window option for maximum privacy.

Essential Timber Care & Maintenance Advice

Please note that our advanced industrial pressure treatment is specifically engineered to prevent wood decay, fungal rot, and insect attack. This process provides our premium softwood garden buildings with an extended, low-maintenance lifespan. However, pressure treatment is designed as a preservative, not a waterproofing agent.

To ensure your timber shed remains completely watertight against heavy rain, all products with pressure-treated cladding should be treated externally with a high-quality, proprietary water-repellent coating or exterior wood paint. This should be applied to the dry external timber surfaces in accordance with the specific manufacturer’s application instructions.
